After an over 3-week long battle, the inaugural split of the PUBG MOBILE Pro League Americas has come to a conclusion. In the end it was Loops Esports, led by Michael “Dadinho” Barboza, that took the champion title and a lion share of a 200,000 USD prize pool.
The Brazilian side have quickly proved themselves as one of the favourites, taking the opening day of the PMPL Americas even without taking a single map win on that day. In fact, their first Chicken Dinners, two to be exact, came on the sixth day of the tournament. From that point onward, Loops have managed to keep themselves ahead of the other top challengers in X-Quest Gaming and B4 Esports, and take the title with a total of 812 points and six Chicken Dinners in 64 matches.
On top of the PMPL Americas title and prize reward of 50,000 USD, Loops Esports have also qualified for the PUBG MOBILE World League West Season Zero, which will begin this Friday, July 10th. They won’t be the only team from this region however, as the Americas will be represented in PMWL by the top eight teams of the Pro League. These teams will face off against themselves and the best teams from Europe and Middle East & Africas for the total prize pool of 425 000 USD.
